Having fun with my bee word play… seriously though I’m loving the contrast and texture. Its looking so good. After posing my question of special mementos and with my birthday tomorrow I’ve been reminiscing so much as I work on this one.

Continuing to work on my current project. A little slow though making some progress, a lot of detail on this one. Do you have any special mementos from a loved one?

Wanted to see what she would like in color. I may have to pick up some new Sakura Microns, my black 20s are running a bit dry. It’s making this such a slow process. Though I’m liking the idea, but the paper is not cooperating with my markers. Hmmm… should I keep going?

Folklore

Day 6 Folklore, my sixth ink drawing for October. Black Cats and full moons have always been associated with folklore and myth, especially bad luck and/or strange things happening. #inktober2017 #drawlloween2017 #octobersketch

Beauty and bones… I tried to combine two contrasts. I’ve been thinking about the Day of The Dead, remembering all the loved ones that have passed. #inktober2016 #drawlloween2016

Inktober Day 16 Hag

Inktober Day 16 Hag…finished this beauty right before midnight, cutting it close. Yes, the apple helps connect with the fairy tale, Snow White… the evil queen’s deadly weapon. Here’s the funny part, I’m not sure she is truly a hag (if hags are meant to be evil). What is the definition of a hag,  “a witch, ugly old woman.” More so the Little old lady. She actually reminds me of my big mama, great grandmother She was a gardener if I’m remembering stories right. I might have to give this one another try. What do you think? #drawlloween2016 #inktober2016

Inktober Day 10 Water Demon/Mermaid…

Inktober Day 10, prompt was Demon. I took it a bit further with Water Demon. My son couldn’t see it, “It’s a mermaid, Mom!” Either way though I love how this turned out, just beautiful. #Inktober #drawlloween

Lil’ Red Riding Hood… Teri Hood

I have been crazy busy with testing crochet patterns. Here are two designs I tested for TripleStitchin Custom Crochet Werks, the Teri Hood and the Teri Buttoned Cowl. Its a beautiful texture. I used both Simply Soft Caron and Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable.

Mystery Beanie CAL

Not too long ago I participated in a mystery crochet a long from Ashley’s Design Corner, pattern later revealed as the Ashley Beanie. The CAL lasted for 3 days, and only part of the pattern was released each day. I was surprised at how fast I was able to work up the beanies. They turned out amazing. I created two adults and one toddler/kid size beanies. I love the texture and how colors really pop. I used Red Heart Unforgettable, Mosaic, and a special yarn I found in my stash.
