So finally get to post again. I have been really busy trying to get caught up sonce my surgery. My not napping toddler has been testing me too… hence the title. I tested this gorgeous slouch, the Hermosa Slouch and the Hermosa Cowl and Scarf from Laura Maes Crochet. I loved how the contrasting colors really make the pattern pop. Even Stormy Mo approved.

Bamboo Courtney

Check out this amazing hat designed by Salter Stitches… the Courtney Hat which is made with a super soft Bamboo Cotton. Have you worked with it before? This was a first for me and definitely not the last.

Fan Beanie

My 2 year old has been wanting a hat or anything I’m making is supposed to be for her. So I took the opportunity to test the Fan Beanie for Crafty Ridge. It works up quickly and looks stunning in rich colors. Its also on sale for a limited time. Not to mention my little girl is very happy. I think she’s looks pretty darned cute too. What color would you make one in and who for?

3Cs: Cozy Crochet and Congratulations!

I tested this cozy warm hat for Crafty Ridge, Sweater Slouch Beanie. Its like a sweater for your head. I also tested the pattern for the matching Sweater Fingerless Gloves. Of course my child loves them.

Congratulations to Crafty Ridge for reaching 4k on their page. There is an awesome giveaway so make sure you go enter. Not to mention check out all of her amazing designs.

Did It Again, Another CAL

So I participated in the Too Yarn Cute Crochet A long in the fall of 2015. I tried to make them as gifts for Christmas. Both of my kids claimed the hats they modeled of course, but the infinity scarf was made especially for my sister-in-law. What do you think of my color choices?

Mystery Beanie CAL

Not too long ago I participated in a mystery crochet a long from Ashley’s Design Corner, pattern later revealed as the Ashley Beanie. The CAL lasted for 3 days, and only part of the pattern was released each day. I was surprised at how fast I was able to work up the beanies. They turned out amazing. I created two adults and one toddler/kid size beanies. I love the texture and how colors really pop. I used Red Heart Unforgettable, Mosaic, and a special yarn I found in my stash.

I recently tested this pattern from Crafty Ridge, River Beanie. It works up really quickly. My son immediately decided it was a keeper and wouldn’t give it back. I used I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby. Its a beautiful pattern and I was honored that my name suggestion was chosen. There is also a sale on this pattern for a limited time.

Jumping In Head First, #2 CAL

For the second CAL, or Crochet-A-Long I actually made 3 items… 2 of the Little Textures Beanies (using Simply Soft and a special clearance yarn I found at Hobby Lobby), and the Bonnie Bell Cowl (using Aurora Borealis yarn), patterns by Two Brothers Blankets. Again I played with color and texture. I loved how my son’s blue hat turned out, the blues really make his blue eyes vibrant. I was worried about the red not being my color, but the pictures were awesome. It was a whirl wind of trying to get it all done in a small amount of time, but they worked up quickly.

“Along Came A Spider” Spidey!

Excited I was commissioned recently to make this hat (different colors from the one shown). I made one for my Gryphon, despite over 100 degree temperatures he wouldn’t take it off. Even napped with it on. If you are interested in a custom piece or pricing please check out my etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/AleciaGoodman and send me a message.
