Throw, I have crocheted since I was 7 years old (at least my mom tried teaching me) and I taught a dear friend how to crochet. Sadly Jaime passed away and I’ve been using her yarn to make a scrap afghan. It’s extremely colorful much like her spirit. She had an incredible knack for color and mixing patterns. I miss her so much, but looking at the afghan makes me smile and think of my beautiful friend. #throw #inktober2020 #crochet #afghan #Inktober #color #library
October 1st is World Day of Bullying Prevention and A Crocheted Simplicity designed a blue hat as a part of the #HatNotHate campaign organized by Lion Brand Yarn in collaboration with Stomp Out Bullying.
I was one of the lucky testers for this pattern. It turned out great, and such an easy pattern to follow.

I won a random drawing contest, the prize a handmade amigurumi from Forever Stitchin… personalized. If anyone knows me at all, they know how much I love sea turtles. Funny thing I didn’t have a sea turtle or turtle amigurumi and just haven’t gotten around to making one for myself. This one is so special to me as it was made by a good friend. Note the exquisite detailing on the shell, Celtic like my logo. I love this, but now to keep my littles from trying to claim it as their own.

So finally get to post again. I have been really busy trying to get caught up sonce my surgery. My not napping toddler has been testing me too… hence the title. I tested this gorgeous slouch, the Hermosa Slouch and the Hermosa Cowl and Scarf from Laura Maes Crochet. I loved how the contrasting colors really make the pattern pop. Even Stormy Mo approved.
I have been crazy busy with testing crochet patterns. Here are two designs I tested for TripleStitchin Custom Crochet Werks, the Teri Hood and the Teri Buttoned Cowl. Its a beautiful texture. I used both Simply Soft Caron and Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable.
