Inktober Day 13 Guarded, wasn’t sure what to draw at first. I had to think about a background story for my character. The Minotaur was known for being the beast who lived at the center of a labyrinth and couldn’t find a way out. What if the modern day Minotaur wasn’t stuck inside, but guarded the labyrinth instead to protect it. #Inktober #InktoberDay13 #Guarded #Ink #Minotaur

Inktober Day 12 Whale… finished right before midnight, but I couldn’t post…fell asleep. I approached this illustration with pointillism, where everything is done with dots. One of my favorite books and even movie is “Howl’s Moving Castle” by Diana Wynne Jones… about a star, magic, and relationships. I tried to illustrate a bit of that magical feel. Have you ever made a wish on a star? I have and will do it again.

I will never forget that conversation with my dad. What one person finds tranquil might make another shudder. I did add a dash of magic. I used to wear shirts like this hiding my hands too.

Wanted to see what she would like in color. I may have to pick up some new Sakura Microns, my black 20s are running a bit dry. It’s making this such a slow process. Though I’m liking the idea, but the paper is not cooperating with my markers. Hmmm… should I keep going?
