Starting on this windblown beauty today. It’s challenging, but I really like where it’s headed already. What do you think so far?

I have a few commissions in the works so those will be coming very soon. In the meantime… while waiting to pick up my daughter I was able to get this fur baby inked. What do you think?

Fantastic Fox

Foxes have been tricksters in stories for a very long time. How many of us as kids read Roald Dahl’s “The Fantastic Mr. Fox”? I loved his books especially Witches, James and the Giant Peach, and Gremlins. This particular fox, I’ve been told by my kids it’s a baby, is rather shy. I know that Inktober is over, but I think this guy may just need to be inked. What do you think? And Inktober has spurred other sketches and commissions too.

Revisiting Inktober one last time

I really surprised myself by making it through Inktober and completing all 31 days. It was quite the endeavor. Now that it is finished, I am curious as to which drawing was your absolute favorite? Please comment  with your vote.

Inktober Day 25 Mummy

Inktober Day 25 Mummy… I didn’t like the idea of drawing a traditional mummy or corpse for this drawing. I wanted this girl to be pretty, but rough and maybe a bit scared. I really enjoyed the shadow and texture of the cloth strips. The limited use of color provides a good contrast and possibly a depth of personality. #Inktober2016 #drawlloween2016

Inktober Day 23, Haunted House. I’ve always loved interesting architecture and the stories behind them. #drawlloween2016 #inktober2016 Media ZIG Millennium 05 black

Inktober Day 20 Skull

Beauty and bones… I tried to combine two contrasts. I’ve been thinking about the Day of The Dead, remembering all the loved ones that have passed. #inktober2016 #drawlloween2016
