Catching A Dream

Ink drawing of woman catching a light by Alecia Goodman

Inktober Day 30 Catch, almost done. I just have one more to go. Ridiculous that this year has been so hard to keep up with it. This one may be a bit simpler, but I really like the pose and line work. #Inktober #Inktober2019 #catch #woman #ink #drawing #art #beauty #star

Inktober Day 25 Prickly… people are sometimes described as having a prickly personality. Would you risk talking to her? #Inktober #InktoberDay25 #prickly #pricklygirl #drawing #ink #art

Spell Inktober Day 4 ink drawing by Alecia Goodman

Spell, Inktober Day 4… I had a hard time coming up with a concept and finding the time to draw since this one is late. Is it a love spell? Or maybe it’s a special elixir? Either way I think shes beautiful. What do you think is in her brew?

Day 5 Inktober Siren, a combination of Moonlight Follies and Siren. It may be foolish to drink in the moonlight especially at the surface. Almost as foolish as those who fall to the Sirens song. #inktober2017 #drawlloween2017 #octobersketch

IF – Glow, “Glowing Spirit”

I am always amazed when I come to the close of a portrait. The spirit or personality of a piece takes life and well to put it simply, glows. This is Rudie, and if my client agrees I do believe our journey together through shadows is over. What do you think?

Popularity, Wallflowers, and Beauty…

"Dakota", portrait update ©2012 alecia goodman to present

“Popularity” Illustration Friday’s topic this week. I know this post is truly stretching to fit the parameters, but I just finished this beautiful portrait and wanted to share it (We’ll have to see if the client agrees). Popularity I think this is possibly every preteen, teenage boy’s and girl’s challenge. Always feeling that they are the wallflower and trying to make it into the spotlight. I think with age comes the wisdom to realize popularity is not truly that important, its the beauty inside that matters. Being comfortable with yourself and liking yourself, I think is a challenge for everyone at any age. Dakota is a beautiful dog, I am hoping that I just provided a glimpse of her personality and the beauty it holds.
