Day 10s prompt was Hope. Right now a lot of us are in the dark, nervous about the future. If you can give a spark, a light in the dark…remember everyone can use some kindness. #Inktober2020 #Inktober #hope #woman #sparkler #spark #kindness #ink #inkdrawing #art
Throw, I have crocheted since I was 7 years old (at least my mom tried teaching me) and I taught a dear friend how to crochet. Sadly Jaime passed away and I’ve been using her yarn to make a scrap afghan. It’s extremely colorful much like her spirit. She had an incredible knack for color and mixing patterns. I miss her so much, but looking at the afghan makes me smile and think of my beautiful friend. #throw #inktober2020 #crochet #afghan #Inktober #color #library
Inktober Day 8 prompt is Teeth. The tooth fairy has been visiting our house a lot lately. So I almost went with the obvious, a mouth. I wanted to take it further. A zipper has teeth. It really plays with the contrasts of shadows on materials and especially on jeans. What would you draw for teeth? #inktober2020 #teeth #ink #drawing #zipper #jeans
Fancy, so many ideas…I decided to run with high heels which I rarely ever wear. I used to work with someone who was really tall and wore stilettos. They could of aerated a lawn, but the shoes were pretty and they wore them well. With my knees, chunky low heels are about as much as I can do and not for long either. #Inktober2020 #fancy #heels #girl #ink #drawing #highheels
Still catching up. My daughter has 2 female rats for pets. They are incredibly sweet and loving. Recently we gave them a hammock which they love cuddling up and sleeping in. #Inktober2020 #rodent #rat #fancyrats #ink #drawing
Blade, typically a flat cutting edge of a knife, saw or other tool or weapon. I wanted to think about this one differently. Not too long ago a neighbor friend mowed their lawn and one of their kids went playing barefoot. Did you know cut grass is sharp and can cut you? With that idea and this guy who was hanging out on my deck I knew what to draw … Grasshopper and blades of grass. What kind of twist would you think of? #Inktober, #inktober2020 #ink, #insect, #blade, #grasshopper, #drawing
I’m late to the party, I know. This weather has been wreaking havoc with my sinuses and triggering migraines. I also need to work faster,, something I’m always looking to get better at anyways. A friend let me use one of her pictures as reference for this one. Radio made me think of 1930s, 1940s blues singers, specifically when they wouldbe in studio singing live. One of her pictures was perfect for it. #Inktober2020 #Inktober #Girl #radio #singing #vintage #microphone
Today is day 3 of Inktober, Bulky. There were so many ideas with this one. A hulking muscle man (muscle beach), an overstuffed suitcase, a puffy coat, life jacket, bulky sweater or hat … instead an inner tube or doughnut or lifesaver seemed like a fun one to work on shadows and contrast. #Inktober2020 #Inktober #bulky #Girl #swimsuit #beach #sunhat
Inktober so it begins. First prompt this year is fish. I’m a bit rusty as I’ve been so busy dealing with 2020 just like most everyone else. Hopefully the ideas and ink will start flowing. This girl was caught over the summer near my house. Always interesting to see how kids handle their very first fishing excursion. My daughter was definitely adamant that she wouldn’t kiss a fish, even if it was her first catch. #Inktober2020 #Inktober #fish #InktoberDay1 #fishing #Girl #water
