Inktober Day 17 Kraken, originally I drew up a squid-looking creature. It was too realistic… so I drew up this squishy guy. #inktober2016 #drawlloween2016

“Inktober Day 16 Hag” ©2016 alecia goodman to present
Inktober Day 16 Hag…finished this beauty right before midnight, cutting it close. Yes, the apple helps connect with the fairy tale, Snow White… the evil queen’s deadly weapon. Here’s the funny part, I’m not sure she is truly a hag (if hags are meant to be evil). What is the definition of a hag, “a witch, ugly old woman.” More so the Little old lady. She actually reminds me of my big mama, great grandmother She was a gardener if I’m remembering stories right. I might have to give this one another try. What do you think? #drawlloween2016 #inktober2016

“Inktober Day 15 Bride of Frankenstein’s Monster” ©2016 alecia goodman to present
Inktober Day 15 I chose to venture with my own prompt, Bride of Frankenstein’s Monster. I had a lot of fun with curves and fabric, and even with hair. The drawing has a very romantic feel to it, possibly due to her costume and beauty. Frankenstein’s monster is meant to be ugly, grotesque… I’ve always loved the contrast, Beauty and the Beast. #inktober2016 #drawlloween2016

Inktober Day 14 Golem. This guy has been through a lot. His body is crumbling away, but yet he keeps moving on. Media ZIG Millennium 05 black #inktober2016 #drawlloween2016

Inktober Day 13 Ogre. I really like this character. He’slooks friendly and a bit menacing at the same time. I am thinking his left eye is a bit off… its not easy keeping up with one drawing per day though. I really need to draw faster and smaller. I was a little intimidated by drawing a Gryphon… but loving where he’s going though. It’s a work in progress for now. Media: ZIG Millennium 05 #Inktober2016 #drawlloween2016

“Inktober Day 11 Dryad” ©2016 alecia goodman to present
Inktober Day 11 Dryad… I tried to incorporate the idea of trees and leaves into a man. Most people see dryads as women, a connection to Mother Nature. I wanted to draw a majestic man, although ancient and wise, still vibrant. He commands attention from all of faerie. I used sepia ink sakura pens. #Inktober #drawlloween

“Inktober Day 9: Doll” ©2016 alecia goodman to present
Inktober Day 9, Doll… broken dolls can be very creepy and interesting. There’s a story to be told. Who owned the doll, where are they now and why did they leave? I drew this one more minimalistic. I didn’t want to do too much. I used a ZIG Millennium 05 ink pen.

“Inktober Day 8: Troll” ©2016 alecia goodman to present
Inktober Day 8 Troll… I really enjoyed drawing this ugly creature, so ugly she’s beautiful. My son thinks she has a bit of Spiderwick in her, whereas I see a bit of Meg Mucklebones. I do think she may need another arm. What do you think?

“Inktober Day 7: Pumpkin Head” ©2016 alecia goodman to present
Inktober Day 7 is Pumpkin… I took it further though pushing a carved pumpkin headed scarecrow. I tried to get tighter with my cross hatching on the more detailed areas and staying looser as I worked towards the outside. I enjoyed working on him. Does he make you think of a scarecrow or a headless horseman? #Inktober #drawlloween
