“So—so-o c-cold,” Wrigley spat the words out stammering. He had been flying through the forest when the sky went dark and rumbled loudly. It was sunny just before with no warning of a coming storm. The deluge that followed was impossible to fly in. He wondered if he’d find a hollow before nightfall and hoped for a break in the rain.

“Look its moving…again.” Mr. Fluffers eyeballed the white thing in the corner. He kept his eyes glued to it until Mama Spider gave him a warning. In the next heartbeat, the fluffy cat nearly jumped out of his skin. Little did he know that white sack-like ball was filled with baby spiders.

He wondered if fishing like this near a black hole was such a good idea. The space fish shone brilliantly circling the crescent moon. He had placed the bait dangling off the base hoping to entice the beautiful shimmery beast. Every time he looked at it he tried to shield his eyes, squinting. The halo of light it was producing made him think of a dream.
